Sam Bankman-Fried is a 30-years old suspected fraudster, entrepreneur, and investor from the United States of America. Also, he was famous as the founder and CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX and cryptocurrency trading firm Alameda Research.
Besides, Sam got more into media prominence after being detained in the Bahamas on December 12, 2022. The following day, an indictment of him before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York was unsealed.
Less than a month later, he was pleading not guilty at his arraignment to the 8 criminal charges brought against him. Who Is Sam Bankman-Fried Ex-Girlfriend, Caroline Ellison?
Caroline Ellison is reported to be the ex-girlfriend of Sam Bankman-Fried. In September 2016, she joined as an equities trader Jane Street full-time in a cohort mentored by SBF. So, they bonded over their interest in effective altruism and remained in contact.

In February 2018, while visiting the San Francisco Bay Area, Ellison met Sam for coffee, where he pitched her on joining Alameda Research. For your information, Alameda Research is a cryptocurrency hedge fund co-founded in November 2017.
The following month, Ellison joined the company. When she joined, she had more experience than most of the other traders. So, in October 2021, Ellison became co-CEO along with Sam Trabucco. After Trabucco stepped down from the position, Ellison became the company’s CEO. What Happened Between Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison?
For four years, Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison worked together to build a crypto empire. Caroline ran the hedge fund connected to FTX. Despite having a romantic relationship for some time, they have already separated. Ellison has split from Bankman-Fried in a big way as she is cooperating with federal prosecutors who have accused Sam of orchestrating one of the biggest financial scams in U.S. history.
Last month, Ellison pleaded guilty to charges alleging that she, Sam and other FTX executives conspired to steal their customers’ money to invest in other companies, make political donations and buy expensive real estate. At a December 19 hearing, Ellison apologized to FTX customers and investors, saying she knew she was on the wrong path.
While Sam apologized a lot, he never confessed to doing any wrongdoing in terms of scams or committing any financial misconduct.
